CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
2009 - 2010
Sunday School for students, ages 4-11, begins September 7th! Students will begin by attending Worship at 10:30 a.m. Then, at approximately 10:45 am (following the Time for Children), they will go to class. Sunday School will end at the same time as the worship service.
Sunday School will be held each Sunday, with the exception of the first Sunday of each month. On those Sundays our students will be involved in the leadership of the service and will be available to participate in the Sacrament of Communion.
Sunday School teachers will use lessons from the Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM) as the basis of their lessons. Biblical content will be chosen from the PCUSA Year 4 curriculum theme of hospitality. One Bible story will be featured for 3-4 weeks. Our multi-age class will be taught using a rotation of learning activities such as music, art, mission, games, videos, cooking, etc.
Registration for Sunday School will take place in the narthex prior to Worship. We welcome and register new students at any time during the program year. If you have any questions, ideas, or if you would like to volunteer in our Sunday School program, please call Joan Ackerman.
