The Session, our church governing body, presently consists of the Pastor and 9 elected Elders. Each of the Session members serves as chairperson and/or a committee member in one of the four Leadership Divisions:

We are responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in order to provide a quality environment in which to worship.

It is the responsibility of the Stewardship and Finance committee to oversee the financial aspects of the Church. We administer the annual pledge campaign, prepare the annual budget with the help of Session, and monitor the expenses vs. income to help us maintain our budget.

Nominating Committee Chairperson
We are responsible for seeking candidates to serve as Elders and Deacons. These candidates are then presented to the congregation for their concurrence. This group is made up of two elders, one on Session, and one no longer serving on Session, one deacon, four members from the congregation and the Pastor serving ex officio.

Outreach Ministry Team
The Committee is responsible for the Kent First mission activities/projects. Mission
activities/projects not only include donating monies to local, national and
international mission causes but also "hands on" volunteer support for local
mission activities/projects. They are also responsible for
the mission/peacemaking education of the congregation. This division is also
responsible for evangelism.
This
committee also oversees the four special offerings of One Great Hour of Sharing,
Pentecost, Peacemaking and Christmas Joy.
