The New Life Program serves the community of Kent by providing Puget Sound Energy assistance to those in need and is funded by offerings and gifts from the congregation. Kent First operates as a distribution point for the Emergency Feeding Program which provides emergency food to families for at least 2 days. Clients are referred to us by other agencies in Kent and through the 2-1-1 Helpline. The church sponsors monthly food, clothing and toy drives for the Kent Food Bank. We also provide temporary shelter for homeless men by hosting  H.O.M.E (Home-less Outreach Mobilization Effort) during the months of June and December. We also provide temporary shelter for homeless women through KentHOPE during the month of August. We share our building with the Ukrainian Pilgrim Church, Alcoholics Anonymous, Girl Scouts, and Kent-Meridian Cooperative Preschool. Several of our members tutor elementary students after school. Our knitting group knits blankets for Pediatric Interim Care and hats and scarves for homeless men and women. Kent First supports Mother Earth Farm and the local Crop Walk.

"We are a welcoming and inclusive community worshipping in the Reformed Tradition.  As we are empowered by God's grace we strive to educate, serve and witness to the members and friends of Kent First Presbyterian Church and to the people in Kent and surrounding communities in, with and through Christ's abiding love."
